The new service, to be launched on 14 August 2008 on StarHub Digital Cable’s Interactive TV, will enable viewers to access live stock prices and other financial information on SGX – Mainboard, Catalist, Sectors (by Industry), Products and Top 20 summary by multi-industry. Viewers can also look forward to accessing other financial information such as Market Depth and other market analyses that will be made available on Interactive TV progressively. StarHub and SGX plan to include the real-time values of the Straits Times Index and FTSE ST Index Series by end of this year, once the technical upgrades to receive the live feed have been completed. Mr Patrick Lim, StarHub’s Head of Cable TV Services said, “Today's viewers do not just turn to the TV set to be entertained, they also want to be informed.
